Title

My journey in OI started in 2016, with me joining the computer team of my school. Throughout the years, I have accumulated a wide range of knowledge with the help of my teammates and friends, without them, I would never have achieved the result in IOI.
I remember that on the first contest day, only half the contest duration had passed and I had finished all the rather obvious subtasks. I kept on trying and after numerous sketches on my rough work paper, I was able to come up with a rather tedious approach on the task “Parks”. I got 70 points for this task in total, solving all but the last subtask.
To students who are interested in OI, one advice I would give is to fully utilize the resources online when you encounter difficulties. There are countless algorithms and techniques, and the only way to learn to apply them is through practice.
This IOI is certainly a memorable one, with Hong Kong team achieving the best result since joining IOI and I am happy to be a part of this team.
