Two years ago in the summer, while I was in Thailand for a competition, my father died suddenly of an acute illness in Hong Kong. Originally a family of four, only my mother, my sister and I are left, and I am the only son in the family. “May the deceased rest in peace while the living must move on with their lives”. Amidst of our grief, we learned to come out of it and transform the misfortune into challenges in our life, changing the question from “why did the misfortune happen to me?” to “how to go on from here?”.
My father’s wish was for me to become a successful dancer after graduating from college. This is my strong support. I have to manage my time better, take care of my study and dance, and achieve good results to ease my mother’s burden on the family.
