The Story to Stage Puppetry Competition for Primary Schools aims to:

• enhance students’ oral skills by encouraging them to explore language through puppetry;
• nurture students’ creativity by providing them with an enjoyable setting to present puppet shows; and
• cater for diversity and facilitate students’ whole-person development by creating a wide range of learning opportunities, spanning from script development, puppet and prop design to the refinement of the final performance.

As one of the activities in support of the Campaign on “Promoting Positive Values and Attitudes through English Sayings of Wisdom 2022/23”, the participating schools incorporated the campaign’s overarching theme of “Positivity” into their puppetry performances.
