The ‘Story to Stage’ Puppetry Competition for Primary Schools in 2018/19 is an annual competition organised by the NET Section to provide engaging learning experiences for participating students to develop and apply different English language and generic skills. In preparing for the competition, participating teachers trained students in selecting a story, writing a script, designing and making puppets and the backdrop, and also supported students in applying puppetry skills in the competition.

‘”Cup Noodles Man” was based on a classic folktale “The Gingerbread Man”. The moral of the story is ‘to be wary of strangers’. The exceptional use of a puppet made from a recycled cup noodles container made the performance memorable.
