The Community Leaders of Tomorrow (“CLT” or the “Programme”) was launched by the New Territories School Heads Association, the Organiser of the event since 2012, together with the Co-Organisers the Education Bureau, Kowloon Region School Heads Association and Hong Kong Island School Heads Association. Over the last 11 years, CLT has been successful in promoting a community service ethos in participating students as well as addressing the needs of the community, particularly those with less-privileged backgrounds. In addition, CLT has developed students’ entrepreneurship, leadership, and teamwork spirit. CLT continues to emphasize the leading and active role of students in the project. With students’ active participation in the planning and organizing process, student leaders can be groomed and trained.
